If I were to ever take up (or search for) any spiritual path again, I don't think that I could go far wrong with looking at its practicioners first.
This guy has so much love and compassion (and wisdom if im honest) that the self righteouss and indoctrinated could learn from.

Theland - // If the Bible was the rule book, no violence would ever happened. //

Even by your standards, that is one of the most ludicrously over-reaching sweeping statements I have ever read!

I haven't read the bible for a very long time, but the "If they right eye offend thee, pluck it out …" line always comes back to me when people talk about the non-violence of the bible.

I am sure a more learned bible scholar than I could crash the site with examples of the violence it contains.

You really must try harder to accept that your view of God and the bible don't stand up to even casual scrutiny by a dyed-in-the-wool atheist like me, let alone someone who would really know how to comprehensively annihilate your arguments.
Mozz - You called Nazis Christisns?
Wow!
I won't be responding to your stupid ignorant posts.
Theland - what about The Spanish Inquisition - Christians and bible readers to a man, every torturing murdering last one of them!
Theand, I think you'll find Mozz has a point -

You beat me to it Andy.

I'm not saying all Christians are Nazis or any stupid blanket statements like that, just that the Nazi party had Christian beliefs.
Come on chaps! Give Theland a break. He knows for sure that the Catholics have Christianity wrong, as do the Anglicans, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Baptists, the Methodists ... and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all. How does he know? Because he has his own version of Christianity and therefore it follows that he’s the only man in the world who has it right.

Incidentally, Theland, your God encouraged violence. Read his biography.
I imagine Theland fitting into the old joke about heaven -

A man arrives in heaven and is being shown round by Saint Peter -

"This is the Muslim section here, and the Buddhists are over there, and the Jews are just around the corner …"

at this point, the man and Saint Peter reach a section with a twenty-foot brick wall around it.

"Oh, I would ask you to whisper if you are in conversation near the wall," said Saint Peter.

"Why?" asked the arrival.

"Because," said Saint Peter. "This is Theland's section, and he thinks he is the only one here!!!!"
