Are there any muslims on Answerbank who can justify this? I am sure someone on here mentioned a while ago that Islam is not against christianity.

Fender, it surely is a funny old world. I guess the reason islam hasn't met the same fate as it's brother philosophy nazism, is that it hasn't bitten off more than it can chew ....so far. It did meet it's match on it's first foray into Europe, lets hope at least some people still have the b@lls to stand up to it.

Fortunately the vast majority of U.K. muslims are peaceful and law-abiding and just want to get on with their lives.

Khandro I don't know where you get $150k from ? The bomb itself costs only a few dollars , any more is dependent on the amount and type of explosive you want to use . Most car bombs are small terror weapons and designed to kill in crowded areas. I don't know the cost of C5 or its potency but in my army days plastic explosive was cheap and easy to use.
Even home made explosive is effective and very cheap to make.

Why would you leave the original question aside? It matters not if it's under discussion somewhere else - particularly given that you haven't contributed to that debate either (as I write this).
If I understand you correctly, you're saying that you're not prepared to comment on the Islamic teachings of apostasy even though as a muslim, you're more than qualified to do so? Why would that be I wonder?
Is it because Islam is unequivocal in its condemnation of apostates? Is it not so that Islam dictates that any person - man, woman or child - who renounces their Islamic belief for another belief (or non-belief) is automatically, unreservedly and irrefutably condemned to *death* for the "crime" of apostasy?
The fact is that you know precisely what Islam teaches about apostasy but you feel uncomfortable openly discussing it on AB. You are uncomfortable discussing this matter because you know that Islamic teaching on this subject is wrong and unjust.

I was actually being sarcastic. Women's rights is not a strong point for any of the Abrahamic faiths. They all blame women for everything.
However Islam can be objectively shown to be the bottom of the pile. It is no more obvious than in the fact that Islam permits a man to have four wives but not for any woman to have more than a single husband.

Khandro If Andrew Hoskin said that, ( have you a link ) then it's a load of nonsense. The cars they use can be bought or stolen for a few dollars and the device with the explosive would cost IMO less than $100. Last year in London the would be Tube bombers had bought cheaply all they needed from B&Q .
