The name Armageddon or Har-Magedon, is taken from the Hebrew meaning Mountain of Megiddo.

It is in the Bible, on one occasion - Revelation 16 v 14 & 16

v.14 They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.

v.16 And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged′on.

The name Armageddon is associated with the War of the great day of God Almighty and is not a war in which humans will fight with weapons.

As long as wicked people hold power, righteous people will not enjoy peace and security. As we cannot divorce corruption and wickedness from the people who practice them, lasting peace and justice come at a price—the removal of the wicked ones.

Thanks all.
It was also used by Noah; when he started building his ark, someone asked him why, and he said because there's one hell of a big flood comin' and - Armageddon out of here.

A simple yes would have done Truthabounds, you remind me of a friend I have, when I ask him the time he tells how a watch is made.
But Vulcan...if you learn how a watch is made, might it not be easier to know what the time is in the first place !

Knowledge is POWER !
