If heaven is a place where we can meet up with all our old aquaintances and relatives . Would you want to ?
How about all those people you never want to see again ? Will they be there ?

Would eternal peace be eternal boredom ?

Even if there is a heaven when we die
Endless bliss would be as meaningless as the lie
From any logical perspective it is obvious that any heaven and hell must be identical. It is the individual's view of existence that selects which one they are in.
i reckon not

I reckon not ! When you've hauled your carcass over most of Hell's creation then you'll need a goddam rest. Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms ...

I
I suppose they will be there if they have been very very good. There are a few that I wouldn't want to meet again simply because they are miserable gits. So I would think it would be boredom, unless Heaven has a few corners to hide behind or some wide open places to visit.

Perhaps not quite Heaven on Earth . . . but one giant leap in the right direction.
^^ Voice of an angel. ;o)
Well, the goodly Godless will have all eternity to try and convince all the others in Heaven that it doesn't really exist.
That would mean they wouldn't be bored.
If it's going to be full of only good people then I wouldn't know anybody, well not many. But it'll be sooo boring.
^^That's daft. If the goodly Godless got to heaven, they'd know it was there.
Sorry Ladybirder. Cross-posted. That was in response to SandyRoe.
They might not be able to accept the evidence in front of their eyes. In that case they'd set about trying to convince everybody who'd listen that wherever they were it wasn't Heaven.
To paraphrase some Marxist philosophy;

"I would not join any club that would have someone like me for a member."
LG, Marxist philosophy ..... very good ..... Groucho, I think. :o)
// How about all those people you never want to see again ? Will they be there ? //

It wouldn't be heaven if they were there.
If you believe in Heaven and Hell, then surely Hell would be Heaven! All those forbidden pleasures and don't forget the virgins, maybe even 72 for each.
For the ladies there are all those deceased raunchy super stars and endless wine casks.

Traditional Heaven seems pretty boring to me. Sitting on a cloud playing the Harp is not my idea of reward for an ecclesiastical life. ☺
Damn! That's me buggered!! I only play piano!!
Hey Lazy 1 That was no Marxist philosophy - it was just Groucho cracking a joke !
@thenry Doh - you mean I have Groucho and Karl all mixed up? And there was me thinking this showed old Karl had a sense of humour as well, you know, to balance against all that serious philosophical stuff, like

"From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs."

or like
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."

Karl always was the funniest of the brothers.... :)
Haaaaa! Crying here.....

Night all. :o)
Do we not live both heaven and hell here on earth? You don't have to die for either.
