Do you beleive in Heaven and Hell ?

my colleague said he think there is a God, and believes that you will either go to Hell, or Heaven when you die.
So i questioned how, how do God decide whether u go to Heaven or Hell? do they hold a some sort of a computer record of what you had done in your life?
Also what makes you deserved to go to Heaven?
do you have to be 100% good?
He questioned me where would a paedophile go? heaven or hell, although he was abused as a child. thats why he turned into one. so do u think a Hell for this person? but u have to think about when he was abused as a child.
What if you killed someone but wasnt your fault? eg... a train driver... sees a person or animal etc onthe track and too late to stop and kills it, where would this person go?
if there is heaven or hell do you think there should be a Neutral place to go? if you dont deserve to go either way? (perhaps back to life?)

Funny you should say that, Jake. I had this dream the other night in which we had all arrived together in the afterlife and were about to be presented to God.
The angel choir reached its climax, the trumpets sounded, the curtains opened to reveal...

"No," I replied, "but then you gave me no reason to, did you? But at least I treated you fellows all the same: I didn't believe in any of the others either."
He pondered on this and said he'd think about it.
Then he turned to Theland, Octavius, USALady, everton123, Clanad and the like and was absolutely beside himself with rage!
"Whereas you lot," he thundered, trying to imitate Thor, "worshipped some johnny-come-lately god that the Jews invented only three thousand years ago! How dare you!".
I am tolerated for my fairness and given a modest bungalow on the edge of heaven. The rest are sent to burn for ever for their blasphemy.

If you knew anything about Zeus you would know that he cared little for other gods, and always took credit from them. When his worship spread to an area which already worshipped another god, that god�s qualities were transferred to Zeus.
Also, I wouldn�t bank on any conviviality from Zeus, he demanded righteous action from men and was very vengeful, his decisions were made with hidden intentions and was the ultimate dispenser of good and evil to all mortals.
If you want to be a modern day Prometheus, then jolly good luck to you. But telling Zeus you didn�t believe in him would probably entail a fate much worse than just burning forever.

It was only a dream, Octavius. I didn't actually believe it. (I didn't actually dream it either, come to think of it.)
I'm still in the earthly state of not believing in Zeus, Apollo, Jaweh ("God"), Nindara, Kakaku, or any of the other thousands of them.
And do you know, I honestly think I'll still be in that state after I'm dead.
If not, and I do meet some god or other, and he/she/it can't see how reasonable my excuse is for not believing in him/her/it, then I shall treat him/her/it with proper disdain, while being kind enough to offer lessons in straight thinking. That will get me my bungalow and maybe more.
And I'm hoping that some goddess or other will fancy me.

There's no such thing as God, Jesus, Heaven or Hell. There's evolution and that's why we are here. When we die, we stay six feet under.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that bible bashers were having a go at Sir David Attenborough for saying something like 'god' didn't create animals, the big bang did'., or something along those lines. But I would believe him than follow some supernatural being that there is no hard proof of.
