Katie, the video is too near the truth to be funny, that much death and torture can never be humorous.
With regards to the alleged humour of Katie's video, I'm with Naomi and Ratter. However as to the consequences of following a religion to its 'logical' conclusion the video serves as a potent reminder.

No attack on the messenger intended. That it should become necessary to thread the needle of religion in this manner is all the reason why we must.

Nor from me, Katie. Feeling obliged to post such a link under cover of something other than what it is says much about the hold and the appalling influence that religion maintains over society in general.
Katiekonker - “... there being no place in society or on this forum for Islamophobia...”

A dislike of Islam is not automatically Islamophobia. A 'phobia' is an irrational fear or dislike of something. The operative word there being 'irrational'. If a person studies a religious belief system and comes to the conclusion that the belief is nonsense or even dangerous, it is not irrational to dislike that belief system nor to actively oppose it.

For example, if one studies the Catholic faith and comes to the conclusion that it is barbaric, deeply hypocritical, nonsensical and often immoral then it would be dishonest and wrong to label such a person a 'Catholophobic'. Nothing irrational has occurred.

It is interesting to note that the word 'Catholophobic' isn't really a word. Neither are 'Hinduphobic', 'Sikhophobic', 'Buddaphobic', etc. None of these religions claim that to dislike them is to be irrational. Only Islam claims that particular trophy. That fact alone should give any rational person pause for thought.

Why would an entire religious belief system embrace and endorse a word that classifies any criticism of it as 'irrational'...?
Sith -

With regards to Katiekonker's video you stated, “... lol katie, i dont mind humour ;) you have to learn to laugh at yourself before laughing at others is my motto...”

I assume you have watched the video that Katiekonker posted? It consists of various violent and barbaric acts committed in the name of Islam and your response is “lol”?!?

Did you enjoy the chorus? It goes, “... Cut off a head for Al Jazeera... It's all written in the Koran... That dirty book for every moron...”.

Which bit of the video did you like the most?
A load of Old.."Pony"!

What do you mean ‘nothing comes of that’? Something has come of that. Birdie (and others) have addressed the issue with KatieKonker, who has explained why she said the video is funny – but you laughed at it and haven’t explained why. So why did you find it funny, and to reiterate Birdie’s question, which bit did you like the most?

because i am muslim.

i created this thread to get answers, which i have finally, if you want to stay here and argue, by all means do so, but i have a life and from now on i am finished on this thread.

Birdie, the reason is that i am a muslim. Simple as that.
Sith, You find torture, murder, and appalling barbarity funny because you're a Muslim? Really? Goodness! That's some confession!!
Sith, you are learning from keyplus..run away when the going gets tough!
Question Author
