Well,For 116 years it graced the halls of the National Museum of Wales at Cardiff—the fossilised skeleton of a 200m[illion]-year-old predator that once cruised the Jurassic seas,” says Britain’s newspaper The Guardian. “Then curators at Cardiff decided the remains of the ocean-going carnivore ichthyosaurus needed a brush up—and realised that they had been taken in.” “When we stripped off five layers of paint we found it was an elaborate forgery,” said conservator Caroline Buttler. “It was an amalgam of two types of ichthyosaurus plus a clever attempt at fake parts.” Instead of disposing of it, the museum will put it on display as an example of a fake fossil.

Birdie......... You to are still in the dark.
True, science has made some remarkable advances. Nevertheless, in spite of its often sincere attempts to prevent it, hunger gnaws at more bellies than ever. “Scientific” crime-fighting equipment has not cut down lawlessness; rather, it has continued to mushroom and spread from urban ghettos into once-quiet rural areas. Air and water are befouled with pollutants. Science also gets the blame from some for arming missiles with ghastly power and aiming these at the major cities of the world.
So, as it dawns, even those who once promoted science are not so cocksure about its potency for good. They see that it has become a “mixed bag” filled with some blessings but far too many evils. However, these flaws actually revolve around one central or major weakness. And this weakness is not new, only more obvious in the face of today’s earth-wide problems.
This primary fault is identified in the Biblical book of Job, written over 3,400 years ago. Job took note of man’s scientific diligence, including his resourcefulness in mining deep into the earth to ferret out its riches. But what did Job say was missing? We read:

“But wisdom—where can it be found, and where, now, is the place of understanding?”—Job 28:12.
True wisdom—that was, and is, the missing ingredient in science. It needs proper guidance, direction. Or, as Harvard University’s Milton Katz expresses it: “The trouble isn’t the technology. The trouble is the way we’ve used our technology.”
Wisdom, the ability to use in a right way what science has discovered, must come from outside science itself. Do the efforts of scientists to solve man’s problems give evidence that they have found such wisdom? Look at the record and see.
^^^ man you have been so sucked in, if that book of lies was taken from you your world would fall to bits, I'm thankful I don't need such a book to lead my life.

I can lead my life by my morals and my truth not a book of silly stories and lies.

I really feel sorry for you and corrupted mind!
Elderman, //Genesis alone introduces us to the Lawgiver.//

Not true. Other earlier texts introduce us to different 'lawgivers'.
"Anyone who reads the Bible knows that moral uprightness and cleanness are indispensable to the way of life of a true Christian"

Is that a fact? As I have said before from a moral point of view all theists are bigots , they donperceive themselves as such but they are. You get up in the morning saying I am right you are wrong, but you have no basis for this in either fact or indeed fiction, as there are so many stories. The inquisition took this a way of life and as persecution go's was a bad as Hitler.

Now I have no belief but I have lived a moral, upright and clean life. I know where my moral compass lies and I don't need anything more than my upbringing to find its centre. My children also have been brought up without any need to consult any superstious mumbo jumbo, runes or books.

You on the other hand are a liar, a hypercrite and destined (by your own rules) to be judged.

You won't (cant) answer questions they defy your obviously limited intellect. You have invented a dual personality to agree with you as no one else does, even the other theisests see who (what) you are. Not only that you just make things up as you go along what is “Scientific” crime-fighting equipment"? You may find out the crimes have been solved due to advances in science.

I've typed this so I will hit submit but why I bother responding to someone with your IQ i sbeyond me.

Ratter.....I appreciate your concern for me-but don’t ,I have a wonderful future.
What, therefore, should you conclude? That to be followers of Christ, we have to live always believing that the end of this wicked system is imminent.
Being “sound in mind” does not mean being smart from a worldly standpoint. His word says: “I will make the wisdom of the wise men perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual men I will shove aside.” (1 Corinthians 1:19) Therefore, being steady in mind, we see things in their proper relationship to God will; we understand which things are important and which are not. (Matthew 6:33, 34)
"always believing that the end of this wicked system is imminent" HaHa yes once a year every year.
Yep, you got me beat with that ^^ ;)

Elderman // Six days should be considered as tens of thousands of years//

How about millions of thousands of years? You would be getting at least to the correct order of magnitude. Your hypothesis is still conflicting with the evidence by 100,000 percent so it is little better than the literal six days.
I will correct that. Your error is a factor of 100,000

Ten million percent.
Elderman //I have a wonderful future. //

You think you have a wonderful future entirely on the basis of the the musings of some arrogant men who assumed their every thought came from a higher power. You will die waiting for that promise.

I have a wonderful life right now. No waiting. Who is better off?

//That to be followers of Christ, we have to live always believing that the end of this wicked system is imminent. //

Yep. That is the deal. Sacrifice your whole life to something there is no evidence for and you will be rewarded after you are dead. The ultimate scam. The dead are invariably quite layed back about taking action against those who have fleeced them.

The end of the wicked sytem has been imminent for 2000 years now. What makes you, (like a hundred dead generations past), think it is going to happen in your lifetime?
//Do I Have To Believe Evolution?//

It is only those who insist on believing only that which is true, that which is confirmed by evidence in spite of preconceptions, preferred beliefs, or alleged divinely inspired texts, that have no choice, no other alternative but to believe what is real.

Yes,how did nature come up with all these brilliant ideas? Many researchers would attribute the seemingly ingenious designs evident in nature to millions of years of evolutionary trial and error. Other researchers, though, arrive at a different conclusion. The strong appearance of design in nature allows a disarmingly simple argument: if it looks, walks and quacks like a duck, then, absent compelling evidence to the contrary, we have warrant to conclude it’s a duck.” His opinion? “Design should not be overlooked simply because it’s so obvious.
^^^ So logical, I wish id thought of that :)
So if it looks like a god, sounds like a god and feels like a god it must be a god, but if it doesn't then it just ain't there, so obvious.
'Daffy' was the word that came to my mind . . . go figure.

The missing link in 'intelligent design' is that both intelligence and the ability to engage in purposeful design are emergent qualities of billions of years of evolutionary development. But then the ability to grasp such causal pre-conditional relationships presupposes . . . intelligence.
^^ Daffy! Haaaaaaa! Love it! :o)

Yes,Some argue that the propensity for violence or killing has always been inborn in humans. Supporters of evolution maintain that we come from wild animals and have simply inherited their violent characteristics. Such theories would leave us doomed to an endless cycle of violence from which there is no hope of escape.
The propensity for violence has always been in humans but so has compassion. Both have served to give us the population we have on the planet today.

Intelligence provides us with the capacity to reason and understand the processes that make us what we are and develop in positive ways.

Religion teaches that the solution to everything is the death of those who disagree.
Elderman .. so if you don't like the implications of a theory you ignore the theory or try to rubbish it. Would it not be a little less ostrich like to see if the theory stands up to experiment and observations and if it does then try to alter the implied consequences. As I have said many time on AB, reality exists, ignoring it will not make it go away. All political and religious dogmas founder on the rocks of reality. There is no escaping it, so come to terms with it and make the best of it.
