I think there are fringes that do, but rather than in isolation they tend to do it during Pride Festivals.
Christian Voice, lead by the entirely odious Stephen Green have been known to do this kind of stuff.

They're also the people who forced a small cancer charity to refuse a donation from a charity performance of Jerry Springer The Opera, threatening their funding if they accepted, on the basis of not liking the show's content.

Lovely people.
It depends.

The ridiculous blasphemy law went this year. It is an offence under the racial and religious hatred act to stir up hatred against people on the basis of their race or religion.

But westboro doesn't do this, they seem to stir up hate against everybody on the basis of their own religion.

I rather think that apart from the perpetually convenient charge of behaviour likely to cause a breech of the peace they'd probably be safe!
I've seen protesters at the Pride parade in Manchester.

They usually pick somewhere along the route and stand there with their placards and such and some police keeping a watchful eye over them.
I'm not gay but if I was I would counter protest against religion.
It's impossible to take these people seriously.

I am not a Christian, but I know enough about the faith to know that the Christian God is a forgiving all-embracing God who loves his children - even the bitter twisted self-righteous bigoted hate-preacher ones.

Well OK then, as an atheist, I will grab onto the contradictions in the bible that suit me - God will forgive me for not believing in him because I am a good person.

If as I believe, nothing at all happens after death, then I will nbe right, and the Christians will be wrong, but none of us will be aware of it..

I believe that people take up the beliefs that make them feel secure - be that as gay-haters, or mildly influenced Christians who would say a prayer as their plane crashes.

I personally don't feel the need for the 'support' of a faith, so I have none. I live my life being the best person I can be, and if that doesn;t square with God, then we'll discuss it at the time.

Or not.
Dont christians believe that God created everything....why did he create gay people if he had forbid them?
The westboro baptist church is the epitome of the Christian faith, as with all so called " christian cults" they take one passage or a few passages from the bible and build a whole "cult" upon it. The same as the crusades and the witch trials.

People who hate people hiding behind the robe of Jesus who preached to love everyone regardless of who they are or what they have done.
