It is rather confusing. Most on line content refers to him as "her". She was previously in a relationship with another woman so who really knows (or cares)....
It's definitely a crazy world: but folk can refer to themselves however they like as long as they don't expect others to tell lies to please them. Probably best they don't try to deceive others too. If you are one sex trying to live as the other, be open about it.
I agree Sparkly, a crazy world indeed.
I just have accepted the concepts but just do no understand the rules and regulations anymore.

I presume that it was this generation wanted, they have got it, so everyone should be happy.
And he, she or whoever, wishes to be a Member of Parliament?
Indeed. They have a unique set of views to bring to the party.

0ld news Sparky. But it's up to him. Its his political views that worry me more. I usedto like his humour, but really dont like him as a person now whether he is Eddie or Susie. He makes a very ugly woman!
Funny though.
He seems pretty flexible about it though. I read he said he doesn't mind which name you want to call him or whether you treat him as a man or a woman. I think he will just go from one to the other depending what he feels like when he wakes up in the mornings.
There was a very similar thread last month, for anyone who'd like to see more comments...
was it Hoppy who posted that he knew a transgender whose ambitions were food, drink and be Mary.....? I guess Eddie's are to be a lawyer, judge and Sue.....
I think Mr Izzard is disappointed at failing to be selected as a Labour candidate in a constituency with an all-women shortlist. He's been know as "she/her" for some time. Obviously the name change is a step up. Labour MP Rosie Duffield is having none of it.

She said she would quit the party if Labour allowed the comic to stand for a seat on an all-woman shortlist.

Speaking during a Labour Women’s Declaration discussion group at the Labour Conference, she said: "I will not be a hypocrite and I won’t lie and I won’t say that a man is a woman. Eddie Izzard is not a woman.

It follows from her being asked about the possibility of misgendering someone becoming a hate crime. The 51-year-old said: "Is that a serious thing? Is that coming to Parliament any time soon? I hope not because you might as well arrest me now. I'm not calling Eddie Izzard a woman."
Is he going through "the change"?
If you think that's crazy take a look at clips of Sam Smith's show. Because he's not 'straight' some praise him and ask how he's affecting the lives of haters but in fact he's verging on obscene and subversive, relying on the terribly PC support to him. He must be laughing his tassels off at the fools.
Was that an obligatory to all be women, shortlist ? If so that is morally wrong to start with, and the relevant constituency voters should reject them all on that basis alone. Maybe they can all 'forget' their Big Brother photo id.
No thanks Prudie, I've seen and heard enough of Sam Smith to last me a lifetime.
To think i once liked the shy Sam Smith ............ hes now repulsive!
Sam Smith is a prat.

He was on The One Show and the presenter said "fishermen", and the prat 'corrected' him and said "fisherthem".

He's a complete dick-head.
^I'll second that. Dreadful.
