... but I have yet to see a single 'non-binary' / 'they' / 'gender fluid' etc.etc individual, famous or anonymous, whose clothes, hair, facial expression, and overall demeanour-

are not silently screaming -

"Please please please, for God's sake notice me, I am starving for the attention of complete strangers!!!!!"

Anyone disagree?

Well have to laugh at AH.

He wrote "
I am as Liberal as anyone on here Gness, and you know that, so please don't accuse me of bigotry, when you know none exists.

Then belittles those about the ridiculous so rule.
It says your a gender fluid bigot, Andy.
Note to self - "Never start a thread on AB, you're just making a rod for your own back!"
Depends whether you start a thread which clearly displays an ignorant biased opinion, Dave.

I think 'bigot' is a little strong Zacs, but I am happy to concede a dislike for people who disrupt the wider world with their constant demands for major changes to accommodate what is, in the majority of cases, simply mischief-making to an unacceptable level.
'I am happy to concede a dislike for people who disrupt the wider world'
Patently, Andy.
You solicited my opinion and I gave it.
Selection bias. Next question :)

Zacs - // You solicited my opinion and I gave it. //

I did, and you did, thank you.

But I am entitled to disagree with it.

To me, a 'bigot' is someone who is angry and hostile towards something they do not understand, and their ignorance makes them fearful.

I am not angry, I do understand, and I am not fearful, so i think the term 'bigot' is wrongly applied, but we can agree to differ.
The only festival we went to in Ireland gness was this

https://matchmakerireland.com/

Lots of strange people there seeking attention! I can't remember how we ended up there!
So if some folk for whom you have a dislike don't stop "making a fuss" you will continue to make a fuss.
Why?
Can you tell me, Andy, in what specific way do gender fluid people impact your life?
Question Author
gness - // So if some folk for whom you have a dislike don't stop "making a fuss" you will continue to make a fuss.
Why? //

First of all, I don't 'have a dislike' for 'gender fluid' people.

I have a dislike for their rampant attention-seeking, and their fascist condemnation of anyone who doesn't take their absurd demands for the alteration of the world to suit them.

And I am not 'making a fuss' - I simply made an observation, nothing more than that.
Question Author
Zacs - // Can you tell me, Andy, in what specific way do gender fluid people impact your life? //

On me personally? None at all.

I don't think, and I'm sure you would agree, that we can only express an opinion on something with affects us directly.

If we did, you would not be able to express an opinion on what I have said thus far, since it has not impacted your life.

But that's not how the world works, and you know that as well as I do.
“I have a dislike for their rampant attention-seeking, and their fascist condemnation of anyone who doesn't take their absurd demands for the alteration of the world to suit them.“

But they don’t.

Hundreds of thousands of people who identify as gender-fluid want no spotlight on their lives.

They can do without the hassle.

What you’re referring are the ones whose stories are picked up by the press and amplified by social media.

It’s noise.
To be honest this seems to be a gang up on Andy thread. I actually agree with him to some extent. But his OP is somewhat over the top and exaggerated.

‘On me personally? None at all’

Then how on Earth does that equate with ‘I am happy to live and let live’
And ‘I am as Liberal as anyone on here’ when clearly, you aren’t. ?
Question Author
Zacs, I think you are over-thinking my position here.

I made a casual observation, nothing more.

It is not the moral crusade you seem to think, honestly.
Yeah Zacs, that's not how crusading works.
Your op doesn’t come across as a casual observation, Andy. You seem pretty riled up about the whole thing.

How can you write to me ‘I am happy to concede a dislike for people who disrupt the wider world’

And then answer to Gness
‘First of all, I don't 'have a dislike' for 'gender fluid' people’ when your thread is entirely about the disruption they apparently cause?
