Have you ever met anyone who boasted about their life – and you subsequently discovered they were trying to pull the wool over your eyes? We met a couple on holiday once…. she was ‘in fashion’ she told us loftily - and he was ‘in furniture’. It turned out she worked in a dress shop and he drove a removals van. Oops! :o)

I've got a private plate that spells my husband's surname- it was part of my Christmas gifts that he gave me- why would that be boasting?

Shrewd buyers can and do make big gains from number plates..some date stamped ones can be over priced vanity symbols..however many dateless plates can fetch eye watering sums.

My plate belongs to Kate, I bought her car when she had to stop driving, neither of us see any need to change it at the moment.
