We have been very lucky and have always had good neighbours. I really feel for anyone who has bad ones.

Once had some neighbours who had very colourful arguments. We just went to the kitchen to fetch a glass each to ensure we didn't miss out.

I live in a block of nine, so after 40 years there have been a few - but up to now I've stayed and they've been shipped out sharpish.

About 20-25 years ago, a drunk moved in, he caused lots of problems very quickly, my only feelings about moving were that he had to go, I am not a nice person when challenged, took about 9 months but he left with his tail between his legs.

Only once but I found them hilarious. They were brothers and they'd argue over who had drank the white lightening.

Evening, Sweetie....only once about 45 years ago.....they moved in when he was released from prison and they were a pair of rogues....
She was sharp enough but he was incredibly dim......he broke into a brewery one night and stole some huge old ledgers...heaven knows how he carried them.... but they used them as a coffee table.....quirky... ;-)

He stole some copper wiring but had to burn off the plastic...he did...but propping it against his neighbour's fence wasn't the brightest idea.....

I had a dress go missing from the washing line....then MrG the 1st called into the pub along the road one night and saw another neighbour wearing it.....
Rogue had taken it from my line and sold it to her.....

I had a call one day from the head of their children's school.....the children had lice badly and nothing was being done about it....if they supplied me with a sort of cap and some gas would I be able to treat the children's heads?.....
Lord knows why he phoned me but if he thought I was going to pop around and ask if I could gas their children he'd another thing coming.......
They eventually did a moonlight flit......we all had a party.... :-)

They are indeed, TWR....have to say I have been really lucky over the years with my neighbours......some have remained good friends....

When MrG the 2nd was ill for so many years I don't think I'd have coped without the fantastic neighbours I had....they just helped and did things with no fuss.....lovely, kind and thoughtful folk....x

Sometimes it's the little thoughtfulness, isn't it...
Whenever MrG was in hospital, which was lots and for long periods I'd visit every day....sixty mile round trip....

One morning I came down to a note through the door from the chap over the road....
I'm spending the day at the hospital today...you're having a day off so enjoy it!!!
