Perhaps the hacks like photographing and doing colour pieces on people getting drunk in public

One year it is the young drunks at Oxbridge and another the chavettes following the Derby

Ploo sa change - as they might say in Essex
Hi Peter, I suppose the fact remains though.. that these women are still drinking way too much alcohol. I can't get my head around why they spend so much time on themselves on the day, to then to go & spoil the vision.
^I think they think they look good. Strange.
It is Naomi.
Hi Elina - nice sunny day - taking dog out soon - sozza offpoint - I dont know what has come over me
sozza .. haha!
But they are only a very small select few out of a massive crowd. Plus....I can't see any obviously drunk ladies.
Regards the question of 'classy' I firmly believe, it's so much more attractive to wear something well cut, a spray of good perfume .. & leave it up to the imagination.
Naomi...I agree. Most of them look nice. The photographer either decided to show nice pics or the ladies were actually classy.

Taking a picture of a lady sitting on the grass laughing doesn't mean she's drunk! And we also don't know the joke.
Ummmm, I don't think most of them look nice. Drunk or not, I think most of them look cheap and undignified.
HaHa...I misunderstood your post.

I think capturing images doesn't give a true story. I just think if you got chatting to one of the ladies, in a dress you weren't keen on, and she was nice, polite, funny, well spoken, well mannered, etc. You'd barely notice the dress.
A woman loses a lot of her femininity when she defaces her body with ugly tattoos
I thought the dresses looked ok, some of them very nice, though it's hard to make a dress and a tattoo work together (they can both look nice but not be on speaking terms with one another). The writhing on the ground isn't such a good look but I suspect that was for the photographer's benefit and perhaps was his idea in the first place.
they look good to me, what is wrong with some of these woman, at least theyre not running around like filthy tramps with pj,s on how horrible and discusting is that ?
They look fine to me too. It's called enjoying yourself. Most of us have done it at some stage
part of the headline is
(not to mention lots of champagne)

so I sense that drink is involved somewhere

( it could be instead that I am a censorious old man )
Alcohol is available but not compulsory. People laughing, cheering on their horse, celebrating their win....doesn't mean they are drunk.
lol, censorious old men should have their own section on AB. Who cares if some women have a glass of champagne on a nice day at the races? Good luck to them.
Oh for gods sake, its a *** horse race not a banquet with the queen, If I went I would wear my jeans a T shirt and a pair of Crocs. They just looked like a load of women having a great time, get over it!!
^An acknowledgement, albeit unwittingly, that protocol does have its expectations. ;o)
