The mines clearly were producing which is why the reserve coal stockpile was so large, and why the management could wait for any strike to fizzle out.

the category of 'state' and 'ceremonial' has very few differences and will still cost a bloomin fortune. But we already pay for the servicemen and police officers they will use , though the overtime bill will probably run to millions if you take into account the security searches they do before the event. I'm sick of the whole thing now and I am more interested in Sunitas demise and subsequent investigations than this, but then as sqad implied yesterday, I live a chavtastic lifestyle lol

well some weren't old enough to know what kind of leader we had or indeed those featured in the paper seemed straight out of charmless school. Even Red Ed had praise, as did Blair, which one wouldn't necessarily expect.
