Could anyone give me an idea on how much it costs to hire a personal trainer?

My husband (59) has retired and is making a determined effort to loose weight and get fitter. He has bought a bike and loves it. The main problem areas are his stomach and his double chin. He does not want to join a gym so I thought if we could hire a personal trainer to come to the house for maybe a couple of times a week for a while to advise the best excercise but would like an idea how much it would cost.

About £20 an hour.

At 59 he might have to start loving his chin
If he doesn't want to join a gym, will he really benefit from a personal trainer ?

A PT is more expensive, more hard work, less flexible, and less sociable than a gym.

As he's bought a bike, he could cycle to the gym !
Check out your local council - they often run fitness courses for seniors.
