They are both writers and journalists I believe from checking them out on Google, McCarthy seems to have worked alot with BBC radio and Keanan has had a couple of Novels published.

I read McCarthys book (in a gite in France as if it matters) and it was awesome -couldnt put it down.

Brave men and they lived to tell the tale -amazing.

I read a book thatthe two of them wrote together about a trip down south america that they had planned in their heads when they were in captivity and then got together to do in real life a few years after they were released.
