Mesopotamia is the old name for Iraq, meaning 'Between the Rivers'...ie the Tigris and Euphrates. George, I would guess, is a reference to President George W Bush. So, 'George's Mesopotamian adventure' is probably someone's attempt to be funny/clever in referring to the attack on Iraq, Keitra.
