It is a tough one, I wont lie. But I probably would give it in.

I found one of those USB pen drive keys in our college computers and decided to hand it in.

did just that the other day ... �90 in notes + RAF id card ... dropped it off at the nearest base & a week later got �20 in the post with a thank you (I left a business card inside !!) ...

i wouldnt give it a second thought, i would hand it in. the biggest problem would be finding a police station thats open. i am a firm believer that what goes round comes round. apart from that it could belong to someone worse off that you. what about the guilt aspect?

Nah, I'd have been straight down to Primark and kitted myself out with a whole winter wardrobe inc boots and a big coat! Then out on the p1ss, and a kebab on the way home!

YES!!! I have found plenty before now, one was a little old lady who had all her christmas money in it. I know how I would feel if it happened to me and someone pocketed the cash.

I once lost my wallet when I was 15 it had my very hard earned paper money in it and bus pass. Someone posted it back to me 18 months later the money was gone though.

Be careful if you hand it into a shop though, I did this once my mum went back an hour later to ask if it had been claimed and the same shop assistants said 'What purse'?

Yes but didn't it used to be if you handed something into the police station if it wasn't claimed in 6 months you could go back and collect it for yourself? I'm sure that happend to my brother a few times with bikes and stuff.
