i have just read an item in the press about a girl aged 16 who is a supermodel.i`m intrigued as to what a supermodel is compared to "a model" and how one so young can be called super

It's a media term coined for the top earners such as Linda Evangalista and Naomi Campbell. The difference is tne number of noughts on the fee a model can command to perform, and like the high fashion world they inhabit, the expression 'super' is a matter of opinion.
