I am tracing my family tree and am trying to find out about my father's RAF record. I do not have a militery number for him, although I know he was a Warrant Office in the ATC during the late 1940's, but he also served in a branch of the RAF? How do I go about finding out about his record?

Contact the RAF on the website or go to your nearest recruitment centre and they will be able to give you the address to write to for military records. If you have his full name date of birth etc. they should be able to trace his record for you.
