Can't think of any conceivable reason why not.

my company is trying to make a payment to someone who wants cash. This is not the way we do business but he says he cannot receive a payment by cheque or direct to bank as is Scottish Free Presbyterian and is not allowed a bank account!!

Tell him to go to the cheque shop then :)

Never heard anything so daft, you'll find Ian Paisely and his mob have enough bank accounts to choke a carthorse!

Oh yeah noxlumas is right, if he gets a cheque from your company and a covering letter with the details showing he is entitled to it, (plus 2 forms of ID) then they cash it strauight away, my daughter has used them in the past for her student grant cheques and she was charged about 6 in the 100.

thanks to you all - your answers are very helpful. I do not believe he could not have a bank account due to his religion but could not find anything confirming he could. As least i know we can just issue him a cheque anyway.

The are better known north of the border as the Wee Frees, another group of religious fanatics who would like to take us back to the dark ages. Anyone for Islam?

Seen it jno. Probably best description of their body, mind and souls.
