just wondering how everyone chose there answerbank names as some of them are quite strange !!!! mine is made up of half my surname and half my partners surname and the number of our house..not very exciting i know !!!

I chose mine in honour of the father of British pop, Lonnie Donegan.
Mine is because I like cows
At school my best mate (who was a bit arty and drew cartoons) invented a super hero dog and he called it Duncan Biscuits. After a while he also invented a not so super hero side kick and he was called Gary Baldy.

Hello.. heres my CV:

Aged 10 poured lighter fluid on a slug and set fire to it
Aged 13 Started a fire in my bedroom with my pillows
Aged 14 Put on report for trying to set the science table alight
Aged 15 Slung a banger (firework) underneith a public cubicle whist a man was doing a a number two.

Aged 16 (unintentially) caused the school to close for a week by smoking out the class room

Aged 17 started bon fire in garden that just would not go out had to call the fire bridgade.

Ageed 18 Singed my eyebrows off in the process of trying to turn my spray can into apollo 13.

Did I mention that my name was John?

Sort of. I read terry pratchett books and the clan macfeegel (pixies) are sort of portrayed as scottish nutters who like snaffling (stealing) coobeasties.....i'm not a scot though highland cattle are a particular favourite.


As an aside I have a norlandic long hair foot stool called olaf......which could make another good thread...has anbody else named their furniture?

I'm often called the Stanleyman by my customers as I mostly deal with Stanley and Rayburn range cookers.
In our family 'to spud' means to laze around doing nothing in particular, and as I am very good at that I am the Queen of Spuds, or Spudqueen!
Mine is my Dad's childhood nickname for me. And since he's been dead for many years I like to use it as it helps me remember him.
Mine was from a joke Scott shared with the housemates during BB4.... Why has Edward Woodward got four 'd's' in his name? Because otherwise he'd be called Ewar Woowar. Lame I know! (I'm a girl BTW, so goodness knows why I thought of this for my user name, hee hee!).

Not very subtle but we had a flatmate who regularly talked about Roger and Fred and going to the kitchen to see Russell...

Mine is after my favourite and THE most funniest comedy series - written by Shaun of the Dead writer and star Simon Pegg along with jessica Stevenson...bring on series 3!!!

Mine was the first two words that came to mind when choosing an email address, and the reason why I chose it for my answerbank name is that I couldn't be bothered to think of another 2 words.
