Good Saturday morning, birdies.

I hope you have a lovely weekend planned, or otherwise a pleasant, relaxing one.

We don't have anything terribly exciting planned here but I'm sure we'll chill out and make the most of family time.

Have a superb day, everyone.

Good morning, Miffy.  Tea and bacon sounds good.  I doubt I'll eat anything today as we're having a pork belly cooked dinner later and I will regret it if I eat anything beforehand.

I've just made a cup of mixed brew (English breakfast and Earl Grey) and will take that back to bed just now.

Are you doing anything exciting this weekend?

Good morning to all out there !.

Seems more like autumn now, enjoy and take care folks

Maybe taking my wee collie dog up to Elgin or the Moray Firth area for a wee walk on the beaches up there. And you?

Question Author

It's very definitely autumn out there, Chip. Good morning to you, by the way.

I suspect there will be pumpkin-themed activities going on shortly and at the end of next month the clocks will be going back.

If I could hibernate all winter I certainly would.

What's in store for you today, Chip?

Question Author

That sounds lovely, Miffy.  My beloved Alfie used to love his beach walks.

Weather permitting we'll pop to the farm shop around the corner and or the greengrocer down on the High Street for some veggies for dinner, take rat features to the park if he's good and just chill out for the rest of the time.

Good morning, off for breakfast to a quaint little coffee shop up the Tyne Valley,my daughters idea as there's no Sunday lunch ( here) tomorrow, her and my son in law are walking Hadrians Wall for charity in the morning 😂

Question Author

Morning, Bobbi.  How are you this morning?  Breakfast in a quaint cafe sounds lovely.  I could kill for a lovely frothy latte right now.

How lovely of your daughter and SIL to be raising money for charity on a Sunday morning.  What charity are they supporting?

As for the Sunday dinner, you will make up for it next week I'm sure.  I know Martin is looking forward to his later.  He asked if we do enough veg can we have another dinner tomorow.  Bless him!

Question Author

It is a gorgeous autumnal day here.  The sky is blue as can be, the sun is shining and the honeysuckle hanging over from next door is just starting to bud.  I wish it could be like this all year round. 🍂

I'm not quite sure Lcg as I just got her message earlier this morning, I know it's through the company my sil works for , then later this afternoon we're meeting a couple of friends we haven't seen in a long time for a catch-up , they lived in Cyprus then came back as he was losing money on his company pension with the pound against the euro

Question Author

If you happen to look in, Retro, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Question Author

A lot of people have given up their life in foreign climes, Bobbi.  Life in Spain was never what I anticipated.  I wouldn't live there again if you paid me.

I could live in Poland though! 🇵🇱

I love the colours of Autumn when the leaves on the trees turn yellow red and gold, but don't like the mess they make 🍁🍂

Question Author

The mess soon dissipates though and gets absorbed back into the earth.  It's all part of the cycle of life.  The woodland at the top of our road is spectacular at this time of year, if it's not too muddy.

We might take Ratty up the common later if we get time.  It's beautiful up there.

Question Author

Might take a flask of tea too:

Highgate Common | Staffordshire Wildlife Trust (staffs-wildlife.org.uk)

We were very near to moving to Cyprus 20 years ago, my daughter had been married for almost ten years with no sign of a baby, they had been saving for IVF treatments and then it happened naturally , must of been the shock of Mum leaving her 😂 after that, there was no going to Cyprus  for us, a very odd thing was we had a Yorkshire terrier ( Alfie) she adored him, he passed away at the age of 17.5 yrs old in the January, she became pregnant in the February, I have always thought that he gifted her pregnancy before leaving us

Question Author

That's often happens - I don't know whether it is a real phenomenon.  My Alfie died a week before Christmas and I was pregnant in the May.

Good morning all, a weak sun poking its head through the clouds, but at least the wind has died down at last. Still struggling with this new format but my son is here for the weekend so I'm hoping he'll be able to help. Has anyone heard from Minty it's over a month since her last post

Question Author

Morning, Margo.  How are you.

I believe Bobbi has chatted with her in recent days and she has once again been struck down with COVID.  The poor woman has suffered enough!  We're all wishing her a speedy recovery.

I hope she's back with us soon.

How are you keeping? xx

How unlucky can one person be, that must be the fourth time! Like you LadyCG I hope she returns soon. I still struggle with mobility because of arthritis in knees ,hips and a shoulder but apart from that I'm ok and a lot better of than a lot of folk on here, thanks for asking. Hope you have a lovely day with your family xxx
