Just a little heads up for those of you who are on Freeview. You need to re tune asap or else any programmes you have set up to record won't. When you have re tuned, you then have to go through the programmes you usually record and set them up again.

Thank you for that.
I was retuning my TV at 2 a.m. this morning !
why? Ive not seen info to retune from freeview
Might just be regional thing
Me neither Tanbo, maybe its local... think I'm getting transmission from Emley Moor.
I'm in the NW and we've had notices on various channels that we have to retune on 12 August. Before I retuned, I had only four channels running !!
I agree with Tamborine . Has there been any advice on TV from Freeview to return? They usually give plenty of notice and frequent reminders if there is going to be a change.
See my post above yours Rosie, obviously regional.

Perhaps it is a regional thing. The way to check would be if you are only getting a few channels when you switch on.If you are getting all your channels, then you probably don't need to re tune.
Am tuned to London somewhere & all I get is "if watching on c71 retune 66 or press yellow button". Yep the murder channels fascinate me ;)
The overnight changes, referred to by Barsel, only apply to viewers in NW England, Creetown and NE Wales:

Thanks Chris. The notice has been popping up on my TV for quite a few days now and I just assumed it was for everyone on Freeview.
