Curious to know .............. if you were undercharged significantly (say, by £30) in a posh restaurant for meals and drinks, would you point it out? Or would you pay and leave?

point it out, as I point out when I have been overcharged.
it's up to them to know what they have served you - and what price it should be
If I saw it at the time, I would probably say something. Mainly because I have been a waitress in a posh restaurant and if any bill was wrong and the boss spotted our mistake we would get a roasting. I'd hate to think of some poor sod on minimum wage getting into bother.

If I didn't notice until after I had got home, I can't say I would bother to get in touch to tell them.
I'd point it out (and have done) as someone's job may hinge on on it.
I'd probably be too sozzled to notice.. lol
but if I did, yes, I would.
Leave a £30 tip, lol!
Point it out, that is.
who's mistake was it - i.e. did the waiter/ waitress make an error or was it made by someone else ?
A group of my workmates and I went to a Xmas meal, all food pre-ordered. The food was nice, but the service was abysmal and very few of us got what we actually ordered. They forgot to add the drinks onto the bill and we didn't point it out to them. I didn't feel overly guilty.
I'd hate to be stopped at the door, so would rather own up and have a clear conscience.
Happened to me twice.....once I pointed it out at the time....the other I didn't realise drinks hadn't been charged til I got home. I phoned...they thanked me and told me to have them on the house.
I suppose if you don't own up you can't go back.

I once sold some Holy Communion shoes to a customer and mixed up the prices....I knew by the speed with which she left the shop something was wrong and that she knew it. It was a small town so whenever I saw her I gave a tight, knowing smile.....to see if she had a conscience....☺
Gness, I'm agog wondering what Holy Communion shoes are made of!

I got undercharged at Lidl a few weeks back - told the chap who served me who reacted as if I was going to bite him.

March hare, maybe a handsome stranger had covered most of the bill before discreetly leaving.....
Mosaic....she got leather ones.....not the wafer thin fabric ones she paid for......but she was obviously ill bred so I won't whine on about it....☺
Well I would point it out - but I like the idea of a £30 tip - so do that

Are you there now?
Bless you my child.....Gness !! Lol...
I didn't know that people needed special shoes for Holy Communion..... we live and learn.
Amen....Minty....+
Can't afford a posh restaurant.

I would pay the bill, as presented, leave the usual tip if service/food had been ok, and leave.
There's no Dilemma, always point it out if undercharged and have a clear conscience. The fact that it is a 'posh' restaurant has nothing to do with it, the same would apply in a fish and chip shop.
