Quality - DAB radio stations are "compressed", so that lots of stations can be squeezed into the available bandwidth. Because of this compression, some stations on DAB are not in as good a quality as on FM. In particular, the BBC stations are transmitted on a low bitrate to squeeze their range of stations into the available space.
Morning everyone, drizzly here in Kent this morning. The weather forecast for the North sounds ghastly!
Re DAB radio, I don't want compressed lots-of-stations, all I want is a decent signal on Radio 4- we rarely listen to anything else in our house, apart from the occasional foray into Radio 5 Live. What about you?
Morning AB Ed, what a nice surprise to have you here!
I was anticipating our office move yesterday morning - well it was HARD and the main office is still full to the gills with piles of orange crates and cardboard boxes, but the desks are all in and useable, the fax and phones work - with the right numbers - and the IT guys have got us all up and running, so although we have a hill to climb (and some rubbish to clear from the old location!) we are in situ in our new location. Now we have to settle in!
