I may be wrong here but I seem to recall a paramedic on here once who had a blog....
Hi sherrardk, what I find fascinating is clicking on the link goes to 'my' amazon homepage. Needs a techie to explain how. I've e-mailed it to OH and it opens on his page. Weird.
O yeah and I got shot down in flames for saying I thought it was in bad taste -remember it well !!!
Did you dris?
Glad to see I'm not imagining things though
red i thought you said a dog !lol and couldnt see the problem.
I suppose that would depend whether he took it to work with him, Annie lol
Yeah -only cos he just came on to advertise his blog and had his real name on it-I thought it would be poor taste for someone to chance upon what had really happened when their loved one bit the dust.
I think its one of the professions which should have an unwritten rule that you protect your patients and families feelings.
Question Author
Sorry Red & Dris - don't remember a blog and haven't read any of the free thing, just thought Bobjugs might find it interesting.
No need for any apologies, sherrarddk, before your time I would say.
Dris, at the time I didn't think much about it tbh, but having read things here recently I can totally understand why you felt like you had to speak out back then
sherradk -no problem at all. This book I should imagine has changed details and id's etc.
No this guy had his own personal blog giving a day by day blow by blow account of what happened on his shift and i objected to that.
I can`t see the problem with it. As long as the author isn`t so specific as to identify people there`s nothing wrong with portraying their everyday life in a job. To be fair, I haven`t read the book so I don`t know how much of it could identify the patients so I don`t want to be shot down in flames.
I agree 237SJ totally-see my previous post. Are you Sandra Jo by any chance ?:)
No is the answer to that. I have no Idea who Sandra Jo is
Cool -just thought i'd ask.She is a great ABer who bobs on and off :)
I remember my days as a retained firefighter in Hampshire. The below guy was a legendary anorak in the service. Surprised his site is still around tbh;

Thank booldawg, I shall take a look at that later and pass onto Mr CRX too
I've just text Bob and told him about this thread.
Cheers sher. It looks like a good read and something i'd enjoy. Hopefully someone will treat me this christmas (hint hint)
You want me to treat you to a book that costs... NOTHING??
given that it is free to download bob - even i am happy to treat you to that one!
