You'll bounce back bobbs - you're a tough 'un. Watch a funny dvd... I know it's not christmas, but I can recommend Bad Santa. And even if you're not gay, I can recommend I Love You Philip Morris with Jim Carrey - that'll make you feel happier.

'Down' days are part of the human condition - it's all part of the balance that stops the mind from manic mood swings.
The problem is, people assume that the medical condition 'depression' is the same thing - when it is patently not. that leads to the 'pull yourself together' attitude that is so unhelpful to sufferers of this dreadful condition.
However, to return to your question - it probably is a 'balance' to your enjoyment yesterday, and tomorrow, you will be fine again.
It''s part of the price we pay for our sophisticated mental capacity - but worth it for the fun we have, I'm sure you'll agree.

ha-ha ummm, now that made me smile, I would give up the drink alltogether and become a nun if I thought it was causing depression, it was last Sunday when I had a little too much and I think it was Tuesday when I had two small glasses of Pinot Gregio, one of which I poured down the sink, it may even have been Monday night, either way , drink isn't a problem I have at all..I think AH is probably right, on a high yesterday?
Lol Bobs...I wasn't suggesting you had a problem with drink. Just sometimes after I've had a heavy few days...a few days later I feel bit down.
Sometimes though people feel down. Maybe you were dreaming about your Mum, maybe something reminded you yesterday of happy times. The brain is a strange character.

My brain is very strange.... maybe you had a dream last night, which you can't remember, which made you a little sad or was a bit disconcerting.
If I have a bad or sad dream, I often wake up feeling a little sad or morose the next morning. It often stays and preys on my mind. I often dream that my children are little again and I neglect them or don't look after them properly. I never did, but this is a frequent dream and makes me sad the next day.

I think we have had this conversation before Salla. But I have dreams just like yours. I often dream my son is a baby again and I have forgotton to feed him or left him in the car somewhere and I can't remember where.
Like you these dreams affect my waking hours too. Only the other day I had some really dreadful dreams about my late mother and felt really down for the whole day.
