I would like to buy someone tickets to see Ireland play at home in the 6 nations competition.
From what I can find online their first match at home is on 13th Feb 2011 against France.
And on 19th March they play England t home.
I have 3 questions:
1) Which game would be 'better' ie their first match at home or the rivalry of playing England?
2) Where do I buy the tickets from?
3) When do they go on sale?

Thanks.

very hard to get tickets for 6 nations unless you are a member of a club in those countries, belong to a recognised supporters group or are willing to pay for a hospitality package...

I am a member of the England Rugby supporters club and have to go into a draw for the right to buy tickets for the major matches... haven't been selected in 3 years.... If you can get tickets either would be good.....I suggest you try for both and see where you get lucky...Autumn internationals are a safer bet....and often a bit more fun

Seriously rowanwitch? But how do just general members of the public go to the matches? My husband used to go to the international matches all the time but he was never a member of a club or a supporters group, so has this changed over the last few years?
the rbs 6 nations website suggests you contact the rugby union of whichever country you're in, but it's a long shot. you could always try eBay when it's nearer
the idea is real supporters have first call on the tickets...Ticketmaster sell the england home matches and get some for away... no need to worry about being with opposition fans everyone mixes its not like footie...
Much better Avatar dearest........I like that !! xx

Looks like I will just have to keep an eye on ebay.

I couldn't see when the tickets are released - does anyone know?
If I remember I will post when I get my invitation to enter the draw...should be some time in Sept I think

Thanks rowanwitch - I would appreciate that.
We've always bought our Rugby tickets through Ticketmaster - never had a problem. Have a look at this site - it says the 6 nations tickets are controlled by the host nation of each match, the address for the Irish one is on this list http://www.rbs6nation...ckets_hospitality.php

Good luck - we love the 6 nations series!
