When I needed my first bra, how come I showed off at school about getting my first bra and made sure my bra strap was showing yet when at home it was just pure embarrassment to even tell my mum I needed a bra.

I know exactly what you mean 4getmenot, I locked my bedroom door to try my new bra on when I was young and my sister totally embarrassed me by shouting through the door 'we know what you're doing' and then telling everyone on the school bus the next day!

I hated wearing a bra at school.I needed one before any of my classmates and the thought of anyone knowing i had a bra on was mortifying for me,. I think i was about 12 and i remember trying desperately to hide it when getting changed for PE. Mind you, my boobs were a bit of a bone of contention for me at that age anyway, my nickname was bigt1ts and as much as i love em now, at that age i hated being slightly different.
