power cut

Power failures happen for us every year. We light the candles, fire up the cook stove to eat...then drink our butts off at the bar across the road...they have a woodstove!

There was a power cut round here the other night for a couple of hours.

I can tell you I spoke on the phone for about and hour and read by candle light for another hour and then I went to bed.
