my year eleven prom is just round the corner but at five foot two inches and size 6 i look more like a kid playing dress up than elegant in a dress. is there any advice on how to look stunning or what style dress would suit a non-curvy pettit brunett? thanks

You need a style to make you look as 'adult' as possible, and if you are slim, you have choices for great looks.

Why not go for a figure-hugging floor-length dress in a really bright red or green. Wear it with strappy high heels, open-toed with your toe nails painted, your hair up, if it will go, some nice big dangly earings, and full make-up, and carry an evening bag. Paint your finger nails to match your dress, wear two or three finger rings, and carry yourself proudly, you won;t look like a kid - promise!

My wedding dress had to be a size 6, but I found that empire line suited me more than figure-hugging - mainly because there wasn't much of a figure to hug... other than that, go with Andy's suggestions...!
my friend had the same problem at our prom but solved it by buying a strapless 50's style dress from dorothy perkins although monsoon had good choices too hope this helps xx

I would recommend that less is more: 1. Get a simple black, slash-neck Audrey hepburn style dress. 2. Don't over-accessorise, stick with small diamond studs or a necklace or bangles - never at the same time - it's more sophisticated. 3. Some kitten-heel shoes - they do nice ones at Office. 4. Go easy on the make-up, but emphasize your eyes with a slick of black eyeliner - Rimmel have a great one, easy to apply. Peachy/rosy blush on apple of cheeks, lipgloss. Hope this helps.
