Has anyone tried this diet? They have recently been on GMTV and have a magazine out. It sounds hard but does sound like it works, Just wondered if anyone has tried it.

Thanks

If it's the non eating diet your talking about (except their soups and milkshakes), then my friend finished it just before Xmas. She lost 3 stones in about 2 months, she found it very hard, got pains in her back, her breath smelt and she could do her No 2's. That being said she looks stunning, but she immediately put on 5lbs because she could'nt afford to continue with their (maintenance programme). I think the cost of the diet is around 50-60 per week! heart stopping isn't. You apparently have to go into ketosis, the NHS website, does not advise this for more than 2 weeks as it could potentially damage your kidneys. I'm not a great advocate of these diets as they are not weaning you off foods that you should not eat, it is just a quick fix. Whilst on the diet my friend had a severe lack of energy and was as miserable as sin. Suppose it depends how desperate you are.
Sorry that should say could'nt do her No 2's
My friend bought the magazine and I had a look at it and I was rather shocked. I did think it was good that the emotional aspects of eating are discussed. But I don't like the whole meal replacement thing because it doesn't actually teach you how to eat healthily. And 60 a week!!! I think it would be better to spend the money on a nutrition/cookery course and gym membership!
