Is it possible to upload photos from my phone on to the above site? There seems to be no facility to do this.

I have reviewed several companies, but cannot find anywhere to add a photo.

The only options are : edit, delete, or share

Since there are no photos on the Trustpilot site, I'd guess the answer is "no"!

I can't see a way to do it but Trustpilot says

"It’s been said many times, but it’s true - a picture speaks volumes. When writing a review on Trustpilot, users have the chance to add photos and videos to their product reviews. Photos are a great way to give you a visual first impression and can help sway a decision that's on the fence. If there are photos and videos attached to a review, make sure to check them out and use them to get an even more detailed view. "

^Interesting, barry...all the times I've visited the Trustpilot site, I've never seen one.

Nor me.  I've just tried to edit one of my reviews and adding a photo was not an option

Thanks for your replies. I'm flummoxed .

If you use Twitter you could ask them about it, I find I get a quicker response from companies by using Twitter rather than emailing them.

Question Author

Thanks for the tip  Barry. It seems that TP doesn't have a twitter account.

Cheers Barry 👍I've sent them a message.

Let us know how you get on

The way I read this, photos can be uploaded but businesses have the option to disable that facility.

https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012726940-Manage-your-product-review-photos-and-videos-

It's all very confusing but I think that is relating to a TrustPilot widget that enables businesses to showcase  TrustPilot reviews on their own website.  They can choose to upload text only or text and photos to their website.

Who would trust TrustPilot if it gave companies control over customers reviews on TrustPilot?

'If someone has written a review about your business on Trustpilot, you've got a business profile page. It’s visible on Trustpilot whether you’ve claimed it or not.

When you claim yours, your business will be able to engage with reviewers and access our Free plan features, or upgrade to any of our other plans. Once claimed, your profile will display the status label “Claimed”.'

Sounds like someone reviews a business and then that business can claim that page.

It appears that is what my previous post related to, not the business' own website.

I tweeted Trustpilot and they don't have a facility to upload photos.

I wrote a scathing review yesterday, which was uploaded to the site. I've looked this morning and its disappeared.

Can Trustpilot be trusted?

BTW, thanks again for your replies.

Thanks for letting us know, melv.  I emailed them yesterday and have just received this reply:

Hi,

Thanks for contacting Trustpilot Technical Support.

Pictures can at the moment only be added to product reviews. In case you have written already a product review, this will show when you log and and go to 'my reviews' this is available when you click on the pictogram in the right corner.
Here you can see all the reviews you have written. In case you left both 'service'  reviews and product reviews, there will be a banner showing this and you can click on product reviews - there you will then have the possibility to edit those product reviews and will get the possibility to add a picture.

Most reviews out here on Trustpilot are called service review, and to those reviews we don't have the possibility yet to upload pictures. This feedback about this features has been shared with the relevant teams to explore for the future, so thanks for asking this question

Please allow me to clarify why at the moment no pictures can be uploaded for the service reviews. When it comes to service reviews, which is the main form of reviews out here on our platform and can be left when searching for a business out here, there is no option to upload a picture to a review at the moment, as it's mostly to share how you experienced the service received by a company, though may also always be used to give feedback about the products of a company.

When it comes to leaving a review for a product - referred to as product review, then you can share your opinion about a specific product your purchased with a business and have the possibility to include a picture to this review. For this type of reviews, you will need to be invited by a business to be able to write one.

Your review also without the pictures added to it, will empower a lot of consumers to shop with confidence, and we'd like to thank you for using Trustpilot

I hope this has clarified the matter. Should you have further questions about this or other Trustpilot related matters, feel free to reply to me and I'll be more than happy to assist further.

Have a nice day.

Kind regards,

Is it a product or a service that you are trying to review?
