Cheapie reading glasses are fine for those who only need a little help to read for short periods of time.
No good at all for those of us who have to wear glasses all the time.
I don't think I would buy any glasses without being able to try them on
first.

Or any other optician. Even Boots sells complete glasses for £40

Danny, in case l lose them! I even lose them indoors and then find them upstairs or somewhere…. I do need prescription lenses, degeneration in one eye, had a macular hole in the other, so not quite straightforward. Just need a pair for “now and then”.

And when l bought one of those chains to wear round my neck l almost poked my eye out :)
Asda Opticians is the best place to get glasses. We have one in Brighton and that's where I got mine. Varifocals, thin lenses, everything you could want at a remarkable price. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Which recommend them.
