In the upstairs bathroom earlier, when the window flew wide open! It's bowing a gale here.
I got off toilet and crawled across floor, sneakily & quickly and shut the darn window!
There are houses to the side and back of us...
Have you had any recent embarrassing moments lately?

I had a scary rather than an embarrassing moment with a window, it blew wide open in the dead of night and sucked the curtains and everything on the windowsill out.

Was convinced an intruder was going to climb through any second.

Wow! Scary, Mamya. I hate it when the wind blows window open like that.
The sensible answer to avoid that happening is to keep your windows fastened shut. No windows should be open in the UK between the beginning of October and the end of April, especially at night.
You know me Mamya, a vampire has to be invited in ;-)
I did suspect it was you Arky.
Can someone give me a sensible reason why windows should be locked shut for 6 months of the year?
I don't understand why you had to crawl across the floor to close the windows. You weren't naked on the toilet were you ?
Why not just slip your knickers off and walk to the window?
Sqad - behave!!!

Seven actually. Because it's too cold. There's little point in going to the bother and expense of heating a property only to let that heat out into the street. The occasional opening for five or ten minutes during the day (weather permitting) is more than enough to "air the place out."
Chuckling at Sqad here !
I don't heat that part of my home, my window was only open a crack but the poor design meant it could not be locked in that position.

My new ones are different.
My bedroom window is open almost every night. Not a lot...a few centimetres...but enough to feel fresh rather than stuffy air.
Was your crack visible?
That could tempt thieves ;0_)
when sainsburys on line delivery driver rang the intercom, i had to ask for him to come back as was just about to get into the shower. he was persistent, but i couldn't just throw on a dressing gown.. he did come back a while later...
when i was washed and dressed i might add..
Mine Ich?

No visible crackage, was under the duvet ;-)
