I have seen an item on the above and am about to buy - however postage is being charged (like not a big deal) but they offer free postage if I enter 30 day free trial Amazon Prime.

Something like this happened to me before and I was under like a contract to pay every month.

So is this completely free postage - would anybody know.

You have to agree to pay, but then remember to cancel before 30 days are up.

thanks Hoppy
How far short of £20 is your purchase?

You might be able to add a pack of batteries or something, to get you up to the free postage deal.
Sign up and get free postage. But don’t forget to cancel at the end of your trial.
You can then watch Amazon Prime on your fire stick. Download certain books to your Kindle fire. And anything else your order get premium or free delivery.
But you must remember to cancel.
I think in your account settings you can set up a reminder a few days before the end to get an email.

And you can watch the streaming TV service for free during your month trial.

Hoppy about a tenner - the item is only £10.99 and it is a purse

can't remember when I ended up with the last contract - but is it easy enough to cancel cos I'm not that techie
I always avoid that option. Many, but not all, items on Amazon offer free postage anyway, with the only difference to the 'Prime' offering being that you don't get automatic next-day delivery.

Click the option to continue without Prime and then take a look at the delivery options available to you. (NB: If free delivery, without Prime, is available, it won't be pre-selected for you. Refusing the Prime offer gets you to a screen where the regular postage for next-day delivery has been added on. You need to look to the right of that to find the option to select free postage with a slightly slower delivery time - although, in my experience, it always gets to you really fast anyway!)

right Chris - it is only £4.99 postage.

Chris I am going to pop up another wee question for you. Hope you can help. thanks
Didn't you have real problems getting out of it when you accidentally signed up for Prime before? I'd only do it if you're confident of successfully cancelling before the 30 days is up.
Question Author
that's right Prudie but it was £79.99 - then I nearly took a stroke LOL. But must say Amazon readily paid it back.
As somebody who willingly pays £79 a year for Prime...must say I find it very good value and wouldn't be without it...just saying.
Question Author
Ginge - I wouldn't be buying that amount of stuff from Amazon to warrant £79.99 - I do like Ebay as 99% it is always free postage.
I go with Buen

cancelling Prime before they take the first 7.99 oops is tricky in that you think you have done it and you havent it

the helplines are really useless

and prime are one of the ones where you see a label that says Are you J Joan and you click yes
and it doesnt go away and so you click yes me jay-jay
and it HAS changed to - - wd you like prime?

and you have to be Very Very Careful and it fully explains why Jeff Bexsos has $200 billion bucks

had - before his wife took $65 bn

yeah yeah and that smug look in his photos: I have got some of your money and done ABSULTELY nothing to get it?

whats why - because he has

As well as guaranteed next day delivery, there are books and magazines to read, music and all the Prime video as well as their sport coverage (football and tennis)...all for 21 pence a day.
If you order a lot of stuff from Amazon then the Prime contract is good.

I know Ginge what would be offered but now I have my SkyQ and Amazon Firestick, and my DVDs for night time - I certainly don't want anything more to watch. After all you may have loads a channels but you can only watch one.

I'm so enjoying my The Golden Girls DVD box set - absolutely fabulous. The script writers were phenomenal as were the girls. Don't know how I have done it but jeepers I have been buying loads of DVDs over the years and have never watched them. I'm however waiting on See No Evil Hear No Evil coming. They were great too Gene and Richard. Sorry to go off track.

And perhaps some day I will go onto a massive Box Set of MASH that I bought two years ago. My sister just loves them. They do be on Sony but no subtitles but the box set has subtitles. Sister can hear - I can't LOL
We have Prime and consider it worth it - however we only have it as I forgot to cancel.
In my opinion their sales technique verges on underhand
We love Amazon prime, it’s saved us loads of money since we sorted out deliveries and where to leave them, we must have two or three deliveries every week. First port of call these days is amazon.
And the tv stuff too, can’t fault them.
