That was fast. Yes: made by Perry of Birmingham. Not an antique, but pretty old I think.

When I clicked on the picture I had a message to say that Chrome had disallowed it because it was a Phshing site. Why did that happen?
When I clicked on it the fist time all I got was an ad for phone cases, clicked on it again and I got the pic of the chain link splitter.
i thought it wa s a pipe cutter thingey

I have used a chain link splitter... er and i didnt think it looked like that.....

Peter, that's because this one was made in Birmingham, England by British craftsmen prior to WW11: it's solid, made to last (as it obviously has), contains no plastic parts, and is (pardon the pun) an interesting link to the past:)
