Surely if she holds a British passport she should not only be allowed into the UK but also into Europe, so If the rest of Europe can ban her, why can't we?

At least her overseas assets have been blocked and she can't go on spending sprees like grace Mugabe

the only thing we can do is arrest her, for an offence, naturally......such as buying UK goods from Harrods etc online, not permitted under the personal sanctions that have been imposed on the family now.
As to Brindjal, that I would challenge, having been several times to Libya before the sanctions were lifted there......there are plenty of routes in to get goods.....
At the moment seems as if we cannot ban anybody or deport them - sorry state of affairs.
The sins of the husband should not be put on the shoulders of the wife. In fact while Saif Gaddafi was being hunted his wife and family were in Britain. Whether they should be allowed to use the ill gotten gains is another matter.
She still retains her Brit passport so it is a basic entitlement.

Rov - she has spoken out in favour of her husband and the reforms that they were seeking, so she is politically entwined. sanctions against her ok - but in terms of acquiring things, as useless as a fart in a Syrian diving bell
Of course there are ways and means D T but if their bank accounts are frozen it does limit their spending. In the case of bob and grace they swan off to un meetings around the world. She may not be able to leave the hotel but she has personal shoppers come to her as their personal wealth is stashed in places like Malaysia and they have free access to it.

/// Why should a British passport entitle entry into any country other than the UK? ///

Not any country but any in the EU, because we are all members of the EU.
