With the costs of Sarnies at the Airports / Drinks etc, how many of you out there decide to take your own onto the plane?

I do. I take a massive picnic onto the plane, the kids love it and it keeps them quiet for a bit.
not me
Everytime. I refuse, absolutely refuse, to pay those prices. Rip off Britain!!
TWR - I thought you weren't allowed to take food stuffs onto a plane unless you had bought them after going through the security check.......but I may be wrong as its a few years since going on a plane..
I buy a sandwich and drink after going through the security check

A hell of a lot do now Den, I've just returned from Cyprus & the amount of people had their own sarnies, well, there was a lot.
Most of the flights I take are only 2 to 3 hours long, so I don't usually see the need for any food. However, as I'm probably only paying a tenner or so for a return flight, I don't really begrudge paying Ryanair's prices for food and drink, so I am prepared to pay for it if I feel hungry or thirsty.
I refuse to buy from airports
I always do, there and back. My flight times always seem to mean I'll miss a meal and the big bonus is that it helps to pass the time - I like going up and down but the straight bit gets a bit much for me!!
You mean ....spread some butter on two pieces of bread and stick something inside?
Wrap them up in tissues, paper or something and put them in a bag to carry to the airport and then open the package an eat them in front of other people?

No.
Never ever, I only buy a bottle of water and some sweets for the flight. I can manage a two hour flight without dinner, and if it's long haul then it;s supplied.
I wouldn't take any with me.
could not be bothered with all the hassle but I agree the prices are rediculous and the food is rubbish
We generally fly short-haul (France or Europe), so it's never that long until the next meal. However, we're happy to take early morning flights, and always take our picnit brekkie, some nice sandwiches and a bit of fruit. We do always get a coffee or hot chocolate at the airport whilst waiting for the flight, and get a juice or mineral water on the other side of the security check bit. Had far too many bottles of min water taken off us in the past .... The food on no-frills airlines is just awful and such a rip-off. Ou home-made sarnies are much much nicer, really worth the effort.
I always fly business class and dress smartly. You'd be surprised how often I find myself in first class because the people at the check-in desk have decided I'm SFU...
A fry-up at Stanstead airport was £8.50, it nearly put me off my £4.20 pint of Guinness
When I used to drink, hubby and I would just get stuck into the drinks trolley. Ah, happy days.
We nearly always fly BA and they still do free meals and booze, so no need to take our own :)
