can anyone recommend a good place to buy a double bed, in the Edinburgh area?   A couple of friends who've bought beds recently have had problems with delivery etc...so looking for reliability and good customer service. Cheers.

Recently bought a new bed from Reid's furniture store in Livingston and found the service very good, delivered when they said they would, unpacked mattress etc checked it over then took all the discarded paper etc with them.  Bought a new suite from them this time last year and again service etc was very good.
Ikea?

Thanks for your answers. x

yeah, thought about trying Ikea......even though we'd have to put the bed together ourselves I assume.  Still, anything else we've bought has been quite easy to assemble, and is still standing, despite being toddler tested. Reids might be a good shout tho if we're feeling lazy.....and our stairs are a bit of a nightmare....so would be great if they delivered to the room, not just the front door.  Will they do that Libertie?

Yes kick3m0n, they took it into the bedroom but sorry........I live in a flat!  By the way I too like Ikea unfortunately their delivery can be quite expensive, as they kinda charge by the mile Edinburgh delivery pretty reasonable, Borders, Fife etc more expensive.  Anyhow happy shopping x
Have always had excellent service from John Lewis, albeit the Glasgow branch. A couple of years ago we asked if a bed we liked would be in the forthcoming sale. After being told that it wouldn't we bought it anyway. Next week it was in the sale and when we pointed this out they refunded the difference.
