a table top stall at a fete to raise money for an institution.Last year I raffled a large toy rabbit and raised £70 . This year have not a clue what to do. Don't bake (hopeless), can't knit , sew or grow plants.Have absolutely no idea what would be popular , cheap for me to get, and bring in loads of cash.

Please help , if you can-- it is all for a dementia care homeand will be used to hire a bus to take the peeps out in the summer. Many thanks Brenda.

Can't you do the stuffed toy again, different animal this time, if it went so well last time?
Perhaps a Tombola.
Write to a few large local companies with a request for a donated item.
Check them out first for ideas on what to ask for .. it might give you a few ideas.

koode -- sorry don't understand your reply-- but thank you for your time.
I did a bookstall once. I put notes through people's doors in my village and lots of people rang me up and gave me books when I called at their houses. I sold most of them on my stall and made quite a lot of money, and took what was left to a charity shop
Go with Albags idea of getting local business to donate prizes.
Once you, hopefully, have a good number, get some raffle books and tear out all the tickets.Fold them in half and put in a large drum,or similar.
Label your prizes with tickets, ending with a 5 or 0.
Charge maybe 50p each or 12 for £5.
Anyone then drawing a ticket ending with 5 or 0 is a winner.
Anything else loses.
Tombolas are very easy. Get about 30 (or more) smallish prizes, must be in vgc, and perhaps a bottle of wine or two - ask for donations. Label each prize with a raffle ticket ending in either 5 or 0, using as many as you need, then throw the rest of that side of the raffle tickets away. (If you see what I mean). Using the remaining strips, fold them up individually and mix them in a box. Charge £1.00 for 5 tickets, and get the public to take 5 out. If they have one ending in 5 or 0 then they have won the prize with that ticket on.

atalanta , daftg , hellywelly --- really appreciate all your time and answers --- thank you so much .Sincerely Brenda.
I just want to support the ideas of contacting local businesses in case you don't think it will work. At my place we send small vouchers for fetes and raffles and I've most companies do contrbute something. Run round all the supermarkets too and places like Toys r us, Co-op, WH Smiths, HMV etc whoever you have. I know Woolworths always used to give a little goody bag. Teh once you've got a few bits plus what you've begged off family and frineds, you can run teh tombola. Good luck
Do a human fruit machine, Ive seen it and its brilliant. you need 3 volunteers who have a deep box in front of them filled with 3 kinds of plastic fruit. Google it for full instructions.
name the doll or maybe how many sweets in a jar
