Swedie - does this help at all
http://www.theanswerb...k/Question830009.html

seems that you can have both jabs at the same time!
Thanks Neti but I'm not concerned about the interval anymore, I've decided to heed the Swedish recommendations for three weeks in between. I'm presently using an echinacea preparation daily (and lots of garlic =:O) to protect myself from even a common cold, as I don't want to go through any more coughing this season (my rib muscles have had enough). Basically I'm wondering if it's okay to keep on using the echinacea preparation after a flu jab or if it's better to let the induced flu (induced by the jab) have its wicked way with me. I'm thinking that perhaps the echinacea counteracts the immunization, to some degree. I don't want that, but on the other hand I don't want to feel unprotected either while I'm waiting for the immunization to kick in (which is weeks, after the jab) so if the echinacea isn't counteractive I'd like to keep using it.

They're talking about the UK floods on the radio here...
Oh too much to worry about! I'm just ignoring the jab and letting nature take it's course - and I don't mind a week in bed with slight flu but not swine flu I guess.
Well, pain can have that effect (worrying) on a person, Neti :(
Unfortunately Neti, I have impaired lung functon and am on the high risk list so flu jabs are a must for me. I don't think I would bother otherwise, but having experienced not being able to breath I can't go down that route again. Ten years ago I was on death's doorstep!!
hmmm, I see it's getting resistant to Tamiflu in Wales...

Not that I want to terrify anyone, of course
Lottie, I agree if there's a medical reason to have it, just not otherwise, but that's just me!!
good heavens, is that the time?

Hello all, so glad i made it to your party Kit. many happy returns and i hope you have a wonderful day. About the pup it depends on what the breeder will do. If she can start the socialising process and the housetraining then it could be okay. We had one of ours from about 2 months old because we had her litter sister who died of parvo virus aged 8 weeks. but we knew the breeder very well, she started to socialise her with her own dogs and got housetraining well under way so while it wasn't ideal, it was okay. if she is just going to let pup run wild, or worse if she will be kept on alone than i would say to wait. anyway just my HO.
busy chaotic time here as the weather has been too bad to get the dogs out some days so we have been doing other things to keep them amused. then the nice floor men turned up and their saw broke so no dining room floor till next thursday. actually the house is such a tip it doesn't matter and is a good excuse for letting the housework go lol.
Anyway i suppose i had best go and do some vacuuming while i can still remember how....laters all, save me a bed won't you
Happy Sunday Biddies. I didn't get in til 12.45 am then watched the end of Children in Need so I didn't go to bed til 2. Had a good night and the singer wasn't bad. Out tonight to see my great nieces doing a show. There dancing school does it every year. The 2 girls are sisters and have been dancing for about 10 years. Their ages are now 16 and 14.
I'm being a 'nosey parker' at the moment. There is a police car in the close and there were 2 here yesterday and I'm wondering what's going off. Don't suppose I'll ever find out. It's quite quiet round here normally.
A bit if a dull day and drizzly rain but not cold.
Time for a cuppa now see yer later 'gater(s)
Oooh a Birthday Girl ..
Grattis på födesedagen Kit .Hope you are having a lovely day .
and Many Happy Returns
