Are you supposed to have 2 minutes silence today the 11th as well as yesterday?

They just announced it on the radio that there will be 2 minutes silence today.
I think there always is one on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Yes, today is Armistice Day.
There are two days with the 2minute silence. On 11\11 and on the closest Sunday to 11/11
There is Remembrance Sunday and then there is Remembrance Day / Armistice Day.

Remembrance Sunday is always held on the 2nd Sunday of November. Armistice Day / Remembrance Day is held on the 11th of the 11th.
