Cemetery behind our house is a CWG, and the number of solitary white crosses make me want to sob.
Local primaries and other organisations lay a poppy on their grave on Remembrance Sunday.
We have them in our borough, along the roads which link all the memorials. It is a RBL initiative apparently but we have one chap who has taken it to heart this year and organised the widespread placing of them on lamp posts and trees.
I have one side my house.
Some were torn down nearby but have been replaced.
They look fantastic.
Just been into a neighbouring town and they have poppies on all the lamp posts. They are pleasing but the giant ones in our town are much more striking.
Not that it matters, the day is being marked and that is what counts.
