18.

Went off to University.

Never moved back in with M+D.

Well, you wouldn't ... unless you were weird !!!
apart from uni and traverlling etc. i was always popping back home but i bought my first house at 28
Same as you, 18 and never went back, even stayed at uni in holidays and worked or went volunteering.

A neighbour from home is still living with her parents in her 40's and two of my uncles do and they are in their fifties. One is mentally handicapped though and could never live alone.

Another uncle moved in with my other nan after his marriage broke down but he did look after her as well though.
18
19 and then my Mum moved in with me (twice) long story I could never live with either of my folks, I'd go nuts.
i am the youngest sold into slavery then!!

do you think that if you dont leave home then youre still like a child in a way?

sheltering in family security because of a fear of getting out into the world
I couldn't wait to get out into the big wide world and was quiet used to being off and about on my own before I got to move out officially.

Once I'd moved out, that was it. My brother would go back in uni holidays but I'd get a flat and a job and stay and work, i preferred it.
17, but it was almost like being back at home with the family, because I stayed with friends who were older than myself.
16..........

sold to life at sea....
I was 19 when I left home, I couldn't get out quick enough.

Have i won at 15 possibly not a old timer will beat me!!!
no.kno ...27 ????????????????????
I was 18.

My sisters ex is still living at home and he's in his 30's. That's one of the main reasons they split up, his dad doesn't charge him board, so his money is his own. He wasn't willing to get a place together as that would mean paying his way.
My ex has just had to move back in with his parents at 31 as he has big credit card debts to pay off, of his own making really.
I was 18,

However, my 32 year old nephew only moved out in the last year or so - he doesn't really fit the timothy character profile though - very hip and trendy and and liked the ladies. The price of property really put him off - he had tried a couple of times to get on the property ladder, but he liked to get out and about spending his cash rather than saving it. In his defence, his parents were young when the had him, so they were still in their 40s when he moved out, it wasn't like he was living with pensioners.
