How many people take down the xmas decorations and suddenly think my god the house looks empty and needs decorating? or is it just me that thinks like that?

no, ithink yay, my house looks quite big again!
the house always seems cold and dreary and very empty. i miss xmas :(
I have to agree with boobesque. The living room looks so much bigger and cleaner. Can't wait to get them down but have to wait till new year at least.
I don't like taking them down it does make the place feel a bit empty. I usually put lots of candles around after the decs come down to make it feel Christmassy cosy again.

Athley thats a nice idea!
mine are coming down now! We have no room!
And the acoustics are very weird, like being in a cave!!!.
I'm with Boobesque! Mine (such as they are) are coming down New Year's Day afternoon. That's it. Over. Back to work. (Actually I was at work last week but now all the other poor s*ds will be joining me.)

Anyway I have so much spring cleaning to do I'd better start now if the house is to look respectable by Easter.
I like it now at at least my little golden retriver can climb down the tree and open his prezzies as he has been stuck up on the top of the tree for the last 2 weeks as we cannot afford to buy a fairy but we will be able to next year as we have saved a lot of money over the last 2 weeks by not feeding him as he cant eat on top of a tree
Isn't that what leads to spring cleaning? That and the low sunlight picking out the cobwebs!
ours came down yesterday, followed by a gd clean
