Anyone else with E-on and angry like me that they are stopping Tesco points. Have only just signed up to a new E-on deal where they give more Tesco points, now it's being discontinued! GRRR I will look to change supplier now as all my little hotel breaks come from saving Tesco points.

Well you are about to get your loyalty bonus, in Tesco points, right up to the end of your contract - paid in one lump, so don't moan too much.
Also, as I read it, it is only the loyalty bonus which is no longer to be paid in Clubcard points.

I think the dual fuel reward and the reward for managing your account on line will still be paid in Clubcard points.

Or am I wrong?

Sorry Hoppy not Hippy- I am typing on a new tablet and got to get used to touch typing

I got a letter from E.on today telling me they were hiking their prices up from 18 Jan. Didn't see the bit about Tesco points. Think I need to read it again.
I'm with e-on through age concern and recently signed up for another 12 months contract.

I think its not too late to sign up, if you haven't already done so.

I found the letter very confusing stopping this and that and raising the other. (opps sounds a bit rood)

I phoned them as I had only just renewed my contract in November. It appears that instead of getting Tesco points we will accumulate eon points which can then be exchanged for Tesco points or other High Street points or vouchers. It seems it is to do with how they give out these extra bonuses. Whether she was just saying this to get me off the line, I don't know. Time will tell.
Another thing I was annoyed about is that there is no mains gas in our village and they did allow £20 discount for that but that will stop in January. I put it to them that the Government was saying that customers will be £50 per year better off through them stepping in, don't know how as I will be worse off by at the very least £20.

I don't remember reading that Furry, but I just saw the bit about prices going up and stopping Tesco points - and I saw red! I will ring them I think, surely they can't fob customers off by telling them about E-on points being converted to Tesco ones if that is incorrect. I must read the letter again...........

This £50 lark by the government I just knew it would spell disaster - the energy companies will now take that as a green light to put up their prices even more ........ its just scandalous.
It wasn't in the letter, it was just what I was told on the phone. The mains gas discount was in the letter in addition to the removal of Tesco points.

//It wasn't in the letter, it was just what I was told on the phone//
That just isn't fair at all then! I will ring them too.

Reading through the info on your link I can see what you mean. I think I will have to ring again to make sure they have registered me on the new scheme. Had I not rung on receipt of letter I would not have known about the new scheme. I still think Tesco points will be better to exchange for due to the double/treble up value that Tesco frequently do.
