Just been watching QI. The question is if you and a spade were buried in a coffin with 6ft of eath above you, would escape be possible - and if so, how would you go about it?

No DT, it was Sherrard who first mentioned wool coffins. I've never heard of a a woollen coffin.
Question Author
Sandy, I don't agree with him. I quite like being alive.
Maybe it would help if you read your own thread properly, naomi. I mentioned wool in the contribution IMMEDIATELY before sherrard's - apology please.
i usually dig a bigger bloody hole, even without a spade :0(
Question Author
DT, gosh, I've lost count of the number of times I've seen you demand apologies - but if it boosts your ego and makes you feel better I'll apologise. Always happy to help. ;o)

Haaa! I know what you mean Mick. :o)
Thank you, naomi, and all have you seriously sleep well this chilly evening, well down here 6 feet under it is.

Have you been on the gin again, DT?
have your mobile buried with you
No gin just bad typing - have been off the ethanol since the New Year; it is my annual 'fast'.......
Question Author
No, you can't have anything except a spade, Roger - and it's an ordinary wooden coffin..

^^ Haaa!
and some factor 45 for when you suddenly emerge on Manly Beach
I'd have thought a mobile is unlikely to get a signal that deep.

What you need is your own private family mausoleum, complete with intercom, and maybe tinned food & can opener nearby. Then you can lay on the slab until it's absolutely sure you've gone.
Question Author
OG, you're not getting it. You and a spade buried in a coffin under 6ft of earth. That's it. No extras and no options. Personally I don't think it would be possible to escape and no one has formulated a likely plan, but thanks for all your answers. (As I said, blame Stephen Fry for this one). :o)
