In round numbers the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the Earth is 10 m/s/s

so a mass of 216 kg would have a weight (i.e. exert a downward force) = 216 x 10 = 2160 N

thats what i thought - onyl kidding

thank you for your comrehensive answer bibblebub
2160 Newtons
Gravitational force is about 9.8 Newtons per kilogram
that's as much a round number as 10
9.80665

Funny how the odd strange number sticks in your brain isn't it?
That would make it 220.25870200323250039514003252895 kg . . . more or less
Gravity does vary depending on where you are on the earth due to the planet not be perfectly spherical. It is also affected by the centrifugal force which appears to reduce it at the Equator.

In combination, the equatorial bulge and the effects of centrifugal force mean that sea-level gravitational acceleration increases from about 9.780 m·s−2 at the equator to about 9.832 m·s−2 at the poles, so an object will weigh about 0.5% more at the poles than at the equator.

This page explains it more.
